forever and a day ago.

Yesterday was Christmas. first off i just want to say that Santa did not make it until 3 in the morning so we were running off little gas but the girls woke up around 8 and Natalie had to use the ladies room and told them to wait before they went in. Kirsten said that she knew that Santa had come and i ask how she knew did she peek. she said no mom would not let her. i then told her that when i was a kid that i aways peeked. so she went in the living room and came back in the bedroom with a great smile. Natalie was done we went back in and started the paper shredding. the girls had the great smiles and looks on there faces of getting the new stuff. somehow everything we got was what they aways wanted. at least whitters was honest she wanted to know why Santa did not give her the rocking horse. don't know i said i don't think Santa knew. after opening gifts and getting dressed we went over to my mom and dad's for breakfast and more gift giving. the food was great and we had tones of fun mom sure puts on a great party. then we went to Natalie's mom's for more party it was fun as well. we got home and let the girls play some more then we went to bed.

I was going to write about this last week.

last week was one of those weeks that had the possibility of being a bad one but turned out to be a great week. first off Natalie's medical condition has been bothering her. bad enough that she wanted to see her doctor. that is a miracle in it self because she hates to spend money on her health she said it costs to much. we went in thinking it could be a big problem. well come to find out that Natalie's colon is actually doing much better just one trouble spot. the doc put her on a few booster meds and i think she will get better. then i had to go to the dentist. first off it was nice because the sun was out and i rode the motorcycle. i had not taken the bike out for a long time and it quite nice to be on the road again. then i got in the chair to get work done so i have a few cavities and 2 broken teeth with the possibility of root canal. so he starts to work and we find out he can crown them with out the root canal. money saved i more good news. then last Saturday mike and i decided to take the bikes out again. it was great but i did get cold. i think i want to take it out more but i need better gear.

also last week bean turned 3 years old. it was sure fun to watch her open gifts and eat cake. i love watching her grow up. happy birthday bean

Trans Siberian Orchestra

so last night i took Natalie to the Trans Siberian orchestra concert for her birthday present. i got to tell ya it was probably the best concert i have been to. the music was great. i am a rocker at heart and to get a chance to hear some Christmas and classical music set the awesome electric guitar sound rocks. who says that us dirty rockers don't have class. it just goes to show that and electric guitar sound in a song does not instantly mean the devil is around. also the stage was awesome. lights, lasers, smoke, fire, fireworks it was all there. the stage lights would move around and it made the stage look alive. if nothing else i would have when for the stage. also nobody was smoking. very few people were drunk. i was also with my beautiful wife. she looked great. we also got to spend time with her brother Jeff and his wife Megan it is always fun to hang with them.

time to get back on track.

well it has been a few since i last had time to write anything down. a few days ago i got to go to the metallica concert. it was loud, crazy and fun as HELL. anyway we got done with work and Steven, Mike and Ryan and I took one car down and we found a place to park. we then walked to the mall next to the arena and got some grub. after the chow we went into the venue and the first two bands were OK. i think if i new the songs i may have liked them better i only know one song the first two bands played and i really could not get into it. then metallica came on. there stage was awesome. they had lasers and fire and smoke and great lights. very good and the song list was great they played a lot from the new album and i was a little surprised by that. but all the songs rocked. i was even able to yell, and sing, even though i was a little ill. it was worth the loss of my voice.

in other news Natalie's dad is an alcoholic and he was put in the hospital for alcohol poisoning well when they let him out he need a place to stay for a few days and i told Natalie no. but she really wanted to help her dad and i decided to let her help him on the condition that if he drinks he is not welcome in my home. well he did good for the first few days and the to make a long story short we caught him drinking. Natalie then kicked him out. it was very hard for her to do it but i am so proud that she stood up to him. it was very brave. love ya Natalie.

then there is Halloween. we had tons of fun taking the girls around for the fun. they came out like bandits they probably came out of there with five gallons of goodies. and there dad cannot be more happy. and it is all the good stuff.

more will come i will try to get it down.

rock band 2

so last year i got hooked on the guitar hero and rock band games. being unable to justify the cost i went the the PS2 and that set up. well over the last year i played and totally enjoyed the game. well rock band 2 came out a few weeks ago and i wanted to upgrade so i could down load songs so i bought a xbox 360. Steven and i played for a few hours last night it was fun. i think Natalie is ready to kill me i am sure she still loves me.

happy birthday natalie

so yesterday was Natalie's 28Th birthday. we had a fun weekend. after i got of work on Saturday we went to park city to the outlets and we did a little birthday shopping. then later that day we went over to Natalie's moms and we watched some TV then off to see a movie with then and the girls. we went to the Beverly hills chuwawa movie. it was pretty funny. we then went back to her mom's house for some cake. then on Sunday we slept in and went to my mom's house for dinner and cake. it was fun. so Natalie love ya and happy birthday.

bean strikes again

yesterday Kennedy got her hands on the baby powder and started decorating the winter wonderland in her room. she got it on everything. it's a test i know it.

winter is comming

it has been a while since i have really put anything down. i really don't have much to report that would be very exciting. so i put winter is coming due to the other day i told myself if the temp drops below forty i would not ride my motorcycle to work and yesterday morning it was thirty-two deg. to cold to ride. i had to then go out and of coarse the Honda will not start due to a dead battery. i jump start the car drive it in and i had to put a new battery in it. driving the Honda to work not fun and it brought forth work and money spending. oh well it is a good car if i can get five more years i would be very happy.

last night bean(Kennedy) was playing and making noise instead of going to bed. i did not make much of a fuss because she was staying in her bed so i thought. any way all was quiet and i thought that she had finally decided to go to sleep. and a few hours later she started to cry. i went in and checked on her and gave her a hug. well she felt slimy. i look her over and it looks like she has some cream on her hands and she got it on my shirt. i asked her where she got the cream and she plead the fifth. i then turned the light on an looked around and she had smeared butt paste on the dresser, the alarm clock. the piggy bank and a few other things. oh i thought i was going to kill her. i was pretty hard on the three year old. but all is well i talked to her this morning and she still loves me and promised not to play with the butt stuff any more. we shall see.

also yesterday Kirsten's school bus got in a car wreck with all the kids on it. when Natalie called she said Kirsten was pretty upset about it but when i got home she was telling me how cool it was. i guess kids want to be tuff for dad.

well i guess there was more to report than what i thought it is Natalie's birthday tomorrow so happy birth day Natalie love ya.

all for just ten bucks

so all this garage door excitement only cost a little time and ten bucks. so i get all mad over very little. i took jenny's advice and had Aaron come look at it. the kid is a master fixer of junk. he can take a pile of crap and make it a radio. it is good to have someone around that can think out side the box.

can i ever get a break.

i hate to always go off on all i have to do and spend. really i like my House and i like how it looks. but yesterday the garage door broke. so now it will not open or close. it aways happens when you don't have enough money to fix it right. now i will have to try to rig the door to make it work. if that does not work then i may have to bite the bullet again. oh well life moves on.

fall and to lots to do

it feels like i am putting more and more irons in the fire. we have yard clean up, my home and my grandmothers who is going through cancer treatments. i have to get some things done for my mother. i have some more house repairs to and i have to of coarse go to work to make the money to do most of it. so is life i guess.

on the family front all my girls have come down with strep. so on top of the before mentioned we have sick kids to deal with. we also just went through a round of dentist visits. didn't we just pay those people off here we go again. school seems to be going well but whitnee is killing me on the home work. she tested a little behind so we are trying to help her catch up. she has the attention span of less that a second. she is really smart but her hair is blond and it shows sometimes. Kirsten is doing great. i think she actually is starting to like school to the point she wants to excel. i mean she had to stay home this morning because of the strep and she cried because she did not want to stay home.

Natalie and i are good. we have butt heads a little on a few things but things are growing faster in the positive sense. we just seem to live one day at a time.

home ownership 3

well we have been doing much to the outside of our home. yesterday we had the windows we ordered installed. so with the new siding and windows also the green grass the place looks great. so my home depression is going a way and a little humble pride comes back in. you have to love where you live and it is sure nice to come home to something nice. now we just have to pay for it all.

mike called it peachy

so a week ago Natalie and i decided to get some peaches and make some of our favorite jam. i of coarse decided to go with my mom's world famous peach butter jam. as i was cooking it was bringing in all the old time memories. i remember the last batch my mother made. when it was gone the earth went into the second dark ages. a few years later there was a beam of light and we found one solitary quart in the back of the shelf. it was world war three at the breakfast table the heavenly treat was gone in like 3 pancakes. so at my house there has been a restoration of all things and the peach butter lives on.

my butt hurts

it's not what it seems. but over this last labor day we got the chance to get a few miles on those said expencive hobbies of ours. first on saturday my friend mike got a date with a girl who's dad is a motorcyle owner. well when mike heard this it was a great way to break the ice and ask her out. he asked Natalie and i along and we went with him to pick her up at her home in Ogden and of to ride around pineview res. so after a great ride and dinner we got home with a little over 200 miles on the bike. i did do a good thing just before i bought a new seat for my bike for Natalie's sake. it had tons more padding and made the trip possible for her. then on Monday we took the four wheelers to the sand dunes for a day of riding. weather was perfect and we had a ton of fun. sad to say we are getting older and it hurts more and more. the play was well deserved and much needed tons of fun.

back to school night

so we had back to school night last night for the girls. we first met kirsten's new teacher. she seems like a great one. she has been teaching at ridgecrest since 84' and we were telling her about Kirsten's allergy's and she had already checked all those things out front the school nurses office. it is great to have teachers on the ball. i think Kirsten will do well in her class. then we went to see Mrs carter she is the kindergarten teacher. we expressed how we don't want to brake whittnee's heart by holding her back so we told her our game plan trying to get her caught up. she also offered some advice in Internet sites and some DVDs from leap frog. i cannot see how she could fail with this kind of support. I'm glad we talked more to the teacher and have a game plan. as for bean still cute as ever. if only she would try to potty train. then all would be complete.

??????hobbies??????

some of the gang wish to go out riding on labor day. so i decided to check out my ATVs to make sure they were running OK. well one of them was not starting. i took it to work to look it over. i determined that the carbs were plugged and needed to be rebuilt. i took them apart and found what needed to be replaced. i needed a small handful of basics. i then go to pay and the bill comes to 80$. why am i into hobbies that are so expensive. is it really worth it. the last ride i spent 450$ just to get things in order to go and it looks like this trip though not as expensive is going to cost an arm i gave away long ago. oh well i guess in the long run it is worth it. we shall see.

Monday, August 25, 2008

back to school

well today is the first day of school. we sent Kirsten to the bus stop this morning and all feels good. then Natalie has to take whitnee in for placement testing. we to make a long story short she comes back with the teacher saying that we may want to hold whittnee back one year becauses she does not know how to rhyme or say the alphabet or count etc. well i am thinking this is bull shit. i have heard her count and so on and so forth..... since when do kids need a sixth grade diploma to start kindergarten. isn't that the time kids learn most of that stuff. anyhow we are going to give it a shot and give her some extra help. i mean if a kid can come over here that does not speak English and can learn then a student that speaks English should have a good chance.

home ownership cont.

well we have put in some effort to start to get some things fixed. we have 2 major problems weeds and gofers. so we decided to fix the weed problem in the flower beds the right way this time. we pulled all the weeds and raked up all the bark and tilled the ground. we then covered the flower beds with that weed stop cloth and then put the bark back. we have one flower bed done one covered and one ready to cover with three more to start. then we need to till up the garden and mow the lawn. we also have some other things in the works to help with the look of the yard. so it is coming along i just now need to keep the motivation. it really depends on my job i think. last night i did not accomplish much due to dumb people at work. i am usually slow to anger but my co workers got me there yesterday i took most of the night to cool down. so we will hit it again tonight and get more done. i mean it is worth it when my hows looks good it makes all the payments worth it.

i have not spent much time lately on my family. things are good for the most part. Natalie finally i think has a handle on her medical conditions. she has some bad days but for the most part she feels good. the girls are growing up fast and we are proud as can be with them. school starts in a week and i think Natalie is so ready to kick the two oldest out of the house. poor bean she is going to miss her buddings for at least a few hours a day. maybe Natalie can take that alone time to get bean to use the toilet. i am so tired of the diapers. all is well and i am grateful for that.

Home ownership

This may sound funny but i think owning a home sucks. i know you need a place to live but i am so tired of the upkeep of my house. we had whittnee's fifth birthday and we had some people over. looking over my yard and i have so much to do. why do weeds grow so fast? you stop working on weed control for a week and at that point you cannot keep up with it. plus all the repair. i have my dad's problem. want to fix stuff, get started and never Finnish. i started to paint my house a few years ago and i got three sides done but i never finished the back well it's ugly. brown grass, gofers, weeds, window wells, paint, doors, and much more. i guess i will get through it i just need to rally and move on.

a little camped out

we have done tons of camping this year. i think my tent has had more miles on it this summer than the previous six years. i do like getting out doors but i sometimes want more out of our camping. i mean an rv would help due to those afternoon hot hours. it would be nice to have a place to turn on the ac and sleep, or watch a movie. but the real problem is how much money those cost. i mean i could get a used one and that would be a good idea but the gas to take it anywhere is the problem. i would also like a atv with more trail quality's thy make a side by side that i could put a rear bench in and take all the kids then again more money. i feel i just cannot win. we just need to keep pressing on. try new things and new places.

Along ride

i bought a motorcycle a few months ago and have had tons of fun riding it. One of my best friends has taken the dip and bought a bike as well. last night we decide to go on a bike ride we went up emigration canyon then on to east canyon. well i have not been over the mountains that way in so long and i did not remember how long that canyon was. Any how our short leisure ride became a 100 miler. when we came out of the canyon into henifer i had to laugh. that is only like twenty five miles away from the border of Wyoming. i would have to say it was a trip well worth taking. very pretty and fun on the bikes. i would like to take that ride again soon.

Catching up again

well it has been a long while since i felt like i had some time to write down the thoughts and or things going on in my life right now. things are going well for the most part. Natalie feels good. in fact a few days ago we went to a move together and she sat through the whole thing. that was nice because her condition sure made it hard for us to go on dates. and i am really excited because we have our eighth anniversary coming up in a week and a half. we are going to make it a long over due weekend together. so i am exited for that. the kids are well all of them are growing fast.

i have also been spending lots of time in the yard getting it together. i think i am personally trying to keep the home depot by my house in business. it is looking good i hope to start posing some pics so you all can see.

so a few weeks ago i bought a motor cycle i can give you all the gas saving reasons i bought a bike but when it boils down to it it is just something i wanted for pure fun. Natalie and i went on a Sunday cruse last Sunday. i felt bad ass like the biker who had his hot babe on the back. king of the road. it was fun. i cannot Waite for warmer weather and less snow so Natalie and i can go on that Saturday picnic up in the mountains together.

as for everything else not much to report just a lot of work and eating and sleeping. with play when we can get it in.

where has all the time gone.

i really want to add to this blog but it seems like there is no time to. i would like to give you some pics to look at but i seem to have to much to do. i guess the good thing is the only real time i have to waste on the Internet is at work. well no post mean no time to surf the net at work, which means more money made, which means i am paying the bills, which means Eric is happy.

nothing to big to report other than we have had some illness in the home. also whittnee bashed her head against the wall cutting her hear. that required stitches. she was pretty upset about having to get stitches but she is healing up great. i have spent some time on my truck project. i will try to make time to post some pics for those of you who may be interested in seeing the progress. i showed my dad the truck the other day and i got his approval on what i have done and i like it when dad likes what i am doing. Kennedy still loves her Binky and Kirsten got good marks on her last report card. Natalie has found out that her brother Jeff is going to get married and she has had fun getting to know Megan and done hair, you know practice for the wedding up due. spring is here which is good. i have started to clean the yard. i bought myself a new toy. i got a leaf blower. i am so tire of sweeping so hopefully this will speed things up. well that is it type ya soon.

I lost him.

It is a happy and sad week. I have been working with my brother Steven for the last year at the alignment shop at Quality tire. well last week they decided to move him done to their Orem location. he is now the head of that shop down there. This will be a good move for him. I the sad deal is we have been really busy over the last week and a half and i really miss his hard work ethic.
well i finally got my home computer up and running. I hope i can get more on this page now. i got a picture in finally. you like.

catching up

it has been awhile since i had a chance to put anything down. so i will fill you in on some good past events. the first good one is i got the chance to go snowmobiling a couple of weeks ago. my mother in law's boss owns a few sleds and a cabin up fairview canyon. he let me ride his new skidoo 800 it was a blast. i did how ever crash. i did not hurt mayself much only my pride and i luckly did no damage to the sled. it was heaven on earth. i hope to get to go out again soon.

also we had the monthly reimann sunday dinner over at our place this month. it was lots of fun we play games and had a good dinner provided by steven and kari. it was a little cramped but when we take over the whole house it will make for great parties i think. i really liked having the family togther. i really wish the family would get together more often.

i am also tired of winter and the colds i brings. yesturday my two oldest girl were throwin up. i just cannot waite for warmer weather. at least kirsten did not miss any school. due to presidents day.

and last of all we found out this week that steven is going to be promoted to the orem store to take over there. it is going to be sad not getting to car pool with him any more. this will be a good deal for him in some of the goals he has.

not sunk in yet

We learned that monson is now the president of the church. I full sustain him but it feel strange. I guess i just got so use to having hinkley in that possition that now it feels just a little empty. I am sure over time it will feel good. I already love monson he just has some huge shoes to feel. I am sure he is feeling the weight and will do well. It is neat to see what will happen with the next few years.

Happy birthday Kirsten

i am a few days late but i just want to wish Kirsten a happy birthday. her birthday was last friday the first. we had a small get together with some family and some friends. we also let Kirsten invite a few school buddies. it was fun watching them giggle and play. as usual she got more stuff than needed. i should open a second hand girls toy store i could make tons. anyway she turned seven this year. man how the time flies. in one years time i will be baptizing her. she has grown to be such a good helper. i am glad she came to us. love ya Kirsten.

more of the same

OK now i am sad. i just found out that my great aunt Joyce passed away last night as well. i hope they will continue to have the reunion birthday party for her. it was a party that i looked forward to every year. she had a good life and was the last of her brothers and sister on this earth. i am sure she is happy with all those waiting for her on the other side.

Happy and sad day.

Most probably already know, but our Prophet Gordon B Hinkly passed away yesterday. This news is sad because he was a great man and a strong leader of the church. he as done much that has helped the church grow. i know he got tons of new temples built and 3 million members joined in the 13 years as president. the happy deal is he is with his wife she passed away a few years ago. They were married for over sixty years that is awesome. i hope we all can learn from his great example and keep pressing forward.

new boxes happy for me.

last Friday i got on satins truck(the snap on tool truck were you sell your soul for tools.) and he had a very nice, red, used, larger than mine, tool box. i asked the dumb question of how much. good price i thought then i asked him how much in trade will he give me and he rang out another great number then i asked him about my roll cart(the smaller more portable tool box) he gave me good numbers. so me being in need of more tool storage space. made the deal and i got two new boxes. it is like Christmas in January for those who just cannot get enough. i need to get some pics soon. so i have been spending some time trying to organize this new box to make it nice and neat.

Good weekend.

We had one of those plan Jane good week ends. we kicked the two oldest girls out of the house to go sledding with the aunts and uncles for an over nighter cabin sledding trip. so Natalie and got out and did some fun stop. sad for Natalie though it really put a toll on her back. any how we went out and used some of our Christmas gift cards. i went to the Menes big tall and fat store and found me some pants. i really need to go on a diet i went up a size to keep the comfort around the waste line. sad for me at this rate i will be sporting the hammer pants with dad very soon. no thanks. also jc penny had a close out on stuff so i got a few shirts. then we went to my favorite store Victoria secrets and Natalie got a few new bras. i tried to get her to buy some fun stuff with her gift card but no chance she said. oh well better luck next time for me. then we when to dinner. good food but we were dumb and went to the Mayan and with the auto expo in motion the crowds were large and we had a long wait and not so good seats. we also watch a few movies at home and had a good time. then we spend Sunday after noon at Natalie's dads place for dinner. he was sober and the event was great we visited and watch foot ball very nice. so all and all it was a good week end. our girls came home with report of a fun time with the aunts and uncles if they took pics i will try and get some on here.

To much stuff and no space.

I have been trying to get caught up on all my half finished projects for Natalie's sake. Right now i am finishing my fire place and repainting the front room. well we rent out our basement to may cousin and we have all of our stuff upstairs. I have been trying to rearrange our living room because i am tire of how it looks. but i get a few things moved into a place that works but that leaves me a few things that don't fit any wear. so what do you do. i would like to take over the whole house but the extra money is really nice. i guess we just need to do a large D.I. run. that would really clear some things up. i am sure we will figure it out somehow and get our front room back together. i have to have it done by the first for Kirstens birthday. i just got to keep pushing forward.

The pains of life.

I don't wish to complain but there are just a few pains of life that most of us have to deal with. Natalie and i went to a Fireside last night. The topic was setting a budget and getting out of debt. These have been goals of mine for the last few years. It is just hard for me to tighten the belt. I like my life style. Although to be free and happy i need to get out of all debt. so i am going to take what i learned last night and really try to apply it.

In other news we had to take Kennedy to the doc to see why she is still having symptoms. they would like to put in tube and take out part of her adenoids. this will help her ears drain more properly. I am glad we have the skills to do such things to help. The painful side is the cost of insurance as gone up and the coverage has gone down. This with other medical issues in my family make the above mentioned goal even harder. To me though family heath is aways more important than money. I am glad things have been going better for all the members of my family in the medical sense.

history is a good idea

So my sister Jenny has been talking about her blog for a long time and my friend mike has had one for probably 4 years. i think it is important to have a family history. so i think i will give this a try. i actually have a journal staring in 97' but have been bad the last few years to write anything down. i think this could be and easier way to get it done. now the key is doing it. we shall see.
